Ok, I swear I'll stop posting about stoner metal for at least a few days, but I'm not doing it without good reason--
High on Fire have released a new song
through Adult Swim. "Speak in Tongues" features the sludgy two-parts-doom-metal one-part-Motorhead assault the band has become known for. Frontman Matt Pike, who was a founding member of stoner metal kings Sleep (see my post below), absolutely shreds once again and delivers some seriously pissed-off vocals. The whole thing comes together like a herd of stampeding mastodons.

You can now thrash about to Georgia-based stoner metal outfit Kylesa's newest album, Spiral Shadow, over at the band's myspace. Though I haven't heard much from these guys (Last.fm's been pestering me non-stop with their recommendation for the last few months), their unique blend of male and female vocals set them apart from the genre's usual Precambrian churn. They're also currently touring with stoner metal titans High on Fire and Torche.
