Chromeo and Ezra Koenig Bring Pop Back

Dance floor masters Chromeo just dropped their new record Business Casual, and it's full of errthang you've come to expect from the boys: their own brand of get-your-booty-on-da-floor and a handful of '80s influenced jams.  Now I wouldn't call these boys straight up pop, but they nail the genre so smoothly on a track with Ezra from Vampire Weekend.  "I Could Be Wrong" is the most definitive Hall & Oates throwback I have heard in the past decade.  Yeah, read that again.  Daryl and John are channeled so well by Dave and Ezra's voices, and P-Thugg's '80s boppin' jumpy synth keeps the pace and atmosphere true.  AND THERE'S EVEN A SAX BIT.  When's the last time you heard a sax in a pop song?! (see: Huey Lewis & the News).  Chromeo and Ezra have perfected the pop song.

Holy nips you should be excited: "I Could Be Wrong (feat. Ezra Koenig)"

Pick up their record now.
