After genre hopping for about fifteen years, Swedish indie duo Club 8 reached a pretty sweet stint with bossa nova and dance. With a voice that's airy, elegant and still full of sass, lead vocalist Karolina Komstedt makes the new record full of cutting guitar solos and full throttle Brazilian dance rhythms sound dressed down for a casual night out. With their repertoire continuing to unfold, the new album The People's Record will be no obstacle to their energetic and refined expansion of musical output.
