Yeasayer

Brooklyn's Yeasayer takes a more pop friendly approach on their sophomore effort but what's not to love. Despite the change, it's looking like the band is still willing to experiment with sounds to set them apart from other indie bands taking the same road. Dig the playful syncopated synth lines, Flock of Seagulls-like echoes and even cowbells on this track. Not bad for a band whose first album experimented with progressive psychedelic tunes blended with Middle Eastern influences. They still sound at home with their more accessible sound and even fit their Myspace description, "Enya with bounce" in a more truthful manner.
