SikTh

So over the past few days, I've been listening to a lot of SikTh. The now defunct British prog-metal band existed from 2001 to 2007, releasing two amazing albums, "The Trees are Dead and Dried Out Wait for Something Wild" and "Death of a Dead Day." If you're a fan of any sort of heavy music, you gotta check these guys out. Pummeling, Meshuggah-grade grooves and ridiculously catchy hooks stuff every single one of their songs. To top it all off, lead singers Mikee Goodman and Justin Hill are the best vocal duo in metal I know of, trading off schizophrenic rants that bring to mind a pair of velociraptors fighting over baby protoceratops steak. Delicious. If anyone's seen me air drumming frenetically from the steps across from Hill, it's probably because of these guys.

Check out "Bland Street Bloom" below.
