SIG:AR:TYR - "Eternal Return"

Though I don't really listen to too much of it, I have a special place in my heart for black metal with folk/transcendental leanings. SIG:AR:TYR's song "Eternal Return" from the upcoming album "Godsaga" encapsulates all the classic hallmarks of the genre. It's a nine-minute, melancholic trek through somber acoustic passages, washes of distorted guitars, and shrieked, incomprehensible vocals. A glorious, shred guitar solo caps the whole thing off with a majestic touch. Though the album's concept of the "Saga of Egil Skallagrimsson and Odin's sacrifice on the world tree Yggdrasil" may sound ridiculous, this searing epic should handily convince you to pick up "Godsaga" when it comes out next week.
