Equal parts genius and asshole, Mr. West vowed on Twitter a few weeks to release a new track every Friday before his album drops, and he couldn't have continued better this week. "G.O.O.D. Friday" features a perfect break, iced with a tinkly piano riff (astutely recognized as an interpolation of "Just a Friend" by my buddy), and held down by a limber synth, with a male chorus sprinkled over the top. A classic beat, made by a cake-maker of the highest order. Ye's fifth is shaping up to be one of the biggest of the fall, and "G.O.O.D. Friday" is a savory starter.9.12.2010
