Pendulum

These Aussies have been criticized for mainstreaming the drum 'n' bass sound, but I think that it's a necessary thing because it yields some good results, especially when they start to drift away from it, but still keeping the elements.  "Set Me On Fire" exemplifies this exactly, a mass of good ol' d'n'b, sparkles of dubstep, and even bits of big beat.  The synths are heavy as rhinos, and even a little scary, as if they were speaking to you in a voodoo sort of situation.  Rob Swire's chilly vocals are nowhere to be found, but there is a distant female voice that serenades you, along with a few ragga-like lines coming in at the end.  The melting pot never ends with these guys.
