A Wilhelm Scream

I don't usually go to punk when I'm in the mood for some shred, but A Wilhelm Scream does a nice job of integrating instrumental virtuosity and Maiden dual guitar harmonies with the typical double time drumming and gruff vocals of the genre. You can tell these guys were noodling away in bedrooms at "Eruption" as teens. Their last full-length, Career Suicide, is a 35 minute adrenaline shot. "The Horse," one of the best tracks off the album, features an off the wall bass tapping part during the first verse and some rather interesting lyrics (I'm pretty sure this is the only song I've ever heard that mentions a captive bolt gun). Thrash on.
