Mix one part Ennio Marricone, two parts "Let Down" by Radiohead and a pinch of electro and the result is this stunning ballad from Suckers. Shaping up to be one of my favorite records this year, their second release, Wild Smile, subsumes a fantastic brand of indie folk rock. Progressive and enticingly erratic yet full of harmony, their intention to push the boundaries but maintain unforgettable songwriting stands clear throughout the duration of the album.
