I'm going to step out of my comfort zone for a bit to cover a new Kanye West track today, per Dylan's request. Here's "Power," featuring soul singer Dwele. The egotistical rapper spits rhymes with his usual aplomb, thankfully dropping the auto-tune that slathered his latest release, 2008's 808s & Heartbreak. Chanting and steady handclaps propel the driving beat, and Kanye even incorporates some prog-rock with a sample from King Crimson's "21st Century Schizoid Man" (a lolwut moment, for sure). Later on, Dwele smooths things over after a brief synth solo.
The songs posted on The Whole Shebash are purely for your listening pleasure and are only meant for time-limited sampling purposes. We encourage all readers to support the artists posted by purchasing their music (so help 'em out, yeah?). If you are the owner of a track posted on The Whole Shebash and would like it removed, email us and we will take it down right away.
